Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Jamrats is a ticketing platform. We never hold buyer funds — every payment goes directly into the organizer’s connected bank account. That means the organizer is the merchant of record, and the organizer drives refund decisions. This page explains how the mechanics work and what the platform fee does in each scenario.
Who issues refunds
Refunds are initiated by the event organizer through the organizer dashboard. Jamrats does not process refunds on behalf of organizers except in narrowly defined fraud cases (see the Acceptable Use Policy).
If you bought a ticket and need a refund, contact the organizer directly. The organizer’s public contact email is shown on every event page and inside every Jamrats receipt email.
What happens to the platform fee
When an organizer issues a full refund within 60 days of the original purchase, the Jamrats platform fee is returned to the organizer’s payout balance. Beyond 60 days, the fee is retained.
Partial refunds return a proportional share of the platform fee. The card-processing fee is governed by the payment processor and is not returned on most refunds.
Event cancellation
When an event is cancelled by the organizer, the organizer is responsible for refunding all paid orders. Jamrats provides a one-click bulk refund tool in the dashboard to process this efficiently.
If the organizer fails to issue refunds within 14 days of cancellation, Jamrats may issue refunds from the organizer’s available payout balance on the buyer’s behalf.
Chargebacks
Chargebacks (formally disputed payments) are handled by the payment processor and routed to the organizer in the dashboard. Organizers have 7 days to respond with evidence. The processor’s decision is final.
Repeated chargeback rates above industry norms may trigger a reserve hold on the organizer’s payout balance. See the Payment and Settlement Policy.
Force majeure
If an event cannot be held for reasons beyond either party’s control (weather, public-health orders, venue closure), refund handling follows the organizer’s posted event-specific terms. Where no event-specific terms exist, the default is a 100% refund to the buyer.
