Legal
Buyer Terms.
Last updated . Questions? hello@jamrats.com
These terms apply when you buy a ticket through Jamrats (operated by WeBuildCode Inc., a Manitoba corporation based in Winnipeg). They govern the ticket itself, not the event. Jamrats is the platform; the organizer is the seller, the merchant of record, and the party you contract with for the event experience.
Jamrats serves buyers in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Your statutory consumer-protection rights under local law — including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 for UK buyers and the Australian Consumer Law for Australian buyers — apply in addition to anything here and aren’t waived by anything below.
Who you bought from
When you check out, you are buying from the event organizer. The transaction lands in their bank account. Their name and contact information appear on your receipt.
Jamrats provides the storefront, the checkout infrastructure, and the ticket-delivery system. We are not the seller of the event experience.
What your ticket is good for
Your ticket admits one person (or one party — see your specific ticket type) to the event described in the listing. It is valid until the event ends, after which it expires.
The QR code on your ticket is signed; presenting a screenshot, photo, or printout is fine — door staff will scan it and check you in. Each ticket can only be scanned once.
Transferring your ticket
You may forward your ticket email to a friend if you can’t attend. Jamrats does not currently support name-on-ticket enforcement; the person scanning at the door is the person who gets in. Some organizers may require ID at the door — check the event listing.
Refund rights
Refund eligibility is set by the organizer. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy. If the event is cancelled, the organizer is required to issue refunds; if they don’t within 14 days, Jamrats may issue refunds on their behalf.
Anti-scalping
Resale of tickets for profit may be restricted by the organizer or by applicable law. Jamrats does not operate a secondary market. Tickets sold outside the Jamrats platform are not guaranteed valid; if you bought from a third party, contact the original seller.
Rules at the event
Once you are at the event, the organizer’s house rules apply: dress code, age restrictions, refusal of entry for intoxication or misconduct, etc. Refusal of entry under house rules is not a Jamrats-side refund reason.
What we collect from you
See the Privacy Policy for the full data inventory. In short: your email, your name, your payment metadata (handled by our payment processor), and the consents you ticked at checkout. We do not sell your data and we do not email you marketing on Jamrats’ own behalf.
Questions
Reach the organizer first — their public contact email is on the event page and in your receipt. For platform- level concerns (the ticket didn’t arrive, the QR won’t scan), email hello@jamrats.com.
