Jamrats

Accessibility

What we’re aiming for.

Jamrats targets WCAG 2.1 AA conformance across the marketing site, the buyer flow, the door scanner, and the organizer dashboard. Below is where we’re at, what’s still broken, and how to report a barrier we missed.

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element is reachable via Tab. Visible focus rings on inputs, buttons, and links. Esc dismisses overlays.

Visual contrast

Text + interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast (4.5:1 small text, 3:1 large). Brand color choices are constrained by this contract.

Screen-reader semantics

Form labels, aria-labels on icon-only controls, aria-current on active nav, and aria-expanded on disclosure widgets.

Known gaps

What we haven’t closed yet.

We’d rather publish the open list than pretend we’ve hit the bar everywhere. The items below are tracked; updates ship in the changelog.

  • Event editor

Drag-to-reorder ticket tiers is mouse-friendly but keyboard reordering is still WIP.

  • Buyer checkout

Cloudflare Turnstile widget is an iframe; screen-reader announcements depend on Cloudflare's widget rather than ours.

    Tracked upstream
  • Embedded video

Marketing videos lack captions on the homepage. Captions land before any conversion-critical surface uses them.

Tell us when something’s broken

If a screen reader fails, a focus order traps, or a contrast ratio doesn’t hit AA, email us. We respond within two business days, acknowledge the issue, and post a fix ETA. We don’t treat accessibility tickets as feature requests.
