Jamrats

Tax handling that doesn’t make you do math.

Inclusive (Quebec) or added-on-top (Ontario) tax per event. Receipts go to every buyer automatically. Per-order snapshots mean a receipt issued today still makes sense in three years.

What hurts

Tax handling is the part of ticketing where most platforms either give up or charge extra for it. You end up calculating GST/HST/PST by hand in a spreadsheet, then reconciling against a settlement statement that doesn't match.

How Jamrats handles it

The fix.

Configure tax per event: rate (e.g. 13% HST), label, and inclusive vs added-on-top. Every order is computed correctly at checkout and the buyer sees the line on their receipt.

We snapshot the tax config onto every order. If you change the rate for next year's event, the receipts from last year still reflect what was actually charged.

Buyer receipts go out automatically the moment the order is paid. They include line items, tax breakdown, your org name, and a link to re-download the tickets.

The breakdown

What it does · why it matters.

Inclusive or added
Quebec-style (tax in the price) or Ontario-style (tax added at checkout) per event.
Per-order snapshot
Receipts from old orders stay accurate even if you change the rate later.
Automated emails
Receipt sent the moment the order is paid. No "did you get my receipt?" follow-ups.
Label your line
Pick "HST", "GST + PST", "Tax", "VAT" — your event, your label.
Reconciliation CSV
CSV exports break out subtotal / tax / total per order for your accountant.
No platform tax
Jamrats does not charge tax on its $2 fee separately — the fee is your B2B input.
